Mock Clotted Cream Recipe

Mock Clotted Cream is one of my most requested recipes.
I have made several different, but
this is one for which I've received a lot of comments and compliments,
therefore, I thought I would share it here.

Mock Clotted Cream
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup Mascarpone cheese
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
In a chilled bowl, combine the cream, Mascarpone, and sugar,
beating several minutes or until the mixture forms a thick smooth creamy texture.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
(I use an electric hand mixer and chilled beaters)
Makes about 1 1/2 cups

Hi Linda,
Thanks for the recipe. I have never tried mascarpone cheese before, so can't wait to give it a try. My favorite with scones is plain heavy whipped cream with sugar added. Have a wonderful week.

I have made one similar and it is very good. I end up using one with a touch of almond flavoring just because that is what my friends want and expect. Couldn't change on them, could I?

Haven't tried a mock clotted cream with Mascarpone, so I'll have to give this a try! Thanks!

That sounds easy enough! My best tea drinking friend is leaving to visit her mother for a few weeks, so we'll try that out as soon as she returns.
