Sisters Tea Parlor — Buckner, KY

We enjoyed afternoon tea at Sisters Tea Parlor in Buckner, KY
near Louisville while we were in the area for an overnight.
This Kentucky tea room has been on my "bucket list" for a couple of years.
Our server, Joyce, was one of the most knowledgeable servers
I have experienced about the selection of teas on the menu.
Each guest selected their own bottomless pot of tea
We ordered the"Friendship Tea", a full afternoon tea,
served on the three tier server.
Interesting coincidence having a tea with the same name as my blog!
Sandwiches and savories below included:
Cracked Black Pepper Biscuit w/Country Ham Salad
Princess Tea Sandwich (strawberry cream cheese filling)
Corn Souffle Square
Cucumber Crown
Chicken Salad Tea Sandwich
A Cheddar Dill Savory Scone and
an Apple Pie Sweet Scone (served with Lemon Curd)
The Sweets were:
Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cone Cake (not ice cream)
Strawberry Shortbread
"Lime in the Coconut Bar"
Louisiana Pecan Praline Ball
Ginger Snap
Chocolate Truffle
The menu is listed below
In addition to three dining rooms, Sisters Tea Parlor
has a Tea Bar
And, a very nice gift shop.
Yes, we did shop for a few fun things.
Sisters Tea Parlor is very conveniently located at Butler, Ky
just off I-71 as you drive from Louisville toward Cincinnati.
In these photos: The three dining rooms.

We celebrated GJ's birthday at afternoon tea.
Sisters Tea Parlor provided a very nice tea experience for our family.
Note:  Although this tea room is in Kentucky, it is about
2 hours drive from our home.

What a lovely pink tea room!! The food looks delicious. My eye went straight to those cake cones. They really do look like icecream. Looks like they have a really nice selection of tea cozies for sale in their shop too. I like to see how other people make theirs. I like the ties at the front and back on these.

Thanks for another visit to a tea room! This one looks so lovely and the tea trays so yummy! Did I tell you the closest tea room by me is two hours away? I try to get there at least once a year!

Nancy, after I read your comment, I added a note at the bottom of this post. This tearoom is about 2 hours from our home. Most of our tearoom visits are during travels. I seek them out and plan our itineraries around afternoon tea times.

It looks like it would be worth the 2 hour drive. Everything looks good and the tearoom is very pretty. Even love their checker board floor. How nice to have a tea bar too. They have covered all their bases.

Wow! What a great tea room! Love the tea bar. Magnolia & Ivy had a tea bar at their Sandestin, Florida location. I think that's such a neat concept.

Dear Linda,
This is SUCH a pretty tea room! They did a great job decorating and presenting the food. I am anxious to know what the ice cream cone had in it if it was not ice cream.
Another great family time together.
All the best, Ruthie from: http://www.ladybstimefortea.blogspot.com/
