Steven Smith Tea

While visiting Portland, I purchased  this package of Steven Smith Teamaker tea.
I was disappointed I didn't have time to visit the tea shop,
but bringing this tea home was the next best thing.
This is Lord Bergamot, Blend No.55, Smith's blend of Ceylon and Assam black teas
with the addition of the essence of Bergamot.

I really like the convenience fo the individually wrapped full leaf sachets
for ease of brewing a mug of tea at home or while traveling.

The biodegradable sachet allows for full leaf expansion for better flavor.
I am very impressed with the packaging and the amount of detailed
information on the package.
To see when and where a tea was harvested, blended and packed,
the consumer can go to and
enter the batch number on the bottom of the package.
I will be visiting their website to order more tea soon!

When I saw bergamot, I think of my Earl Grey. You will have to tell us how it tastes.
Please come visit Lady B and me for our giveaway.

Most often I am not a fan of Earl Grey, but I must say Steven Smith does have a nice one. I too was impressed with the packaging so much I actually thought about doing something with a similar box. The boxes alone are quite expensive and I have kept one of them just because I loved it so much. Sorry you didn't get to visit his shop. If I had know I would have taken you there. It was only about 10 minutes from where you were staying.

I really like S. Smith teas. They are always flavorful and fresh. And his tea boxes are so classic. I once made one into an altered tea box --- it was much fun! One of my sons especially loves S. Smith teas and during his college years would always have them on hand in his apartment. I enjoyed visiting him so I could sample them.

Thank you for the book and Queen Catherine tea that arrived today! I LOVE the book! And will think of you as I sip the tea in the morning.

That is pretty impressive stuff, but I have heard nothing but good about Steven Smith tea.

I have not tried this tea yet but have wanted to simply because their packaging looks so sophisticated. Thanks for the review!
