Royal Adderley Trio

I began collecting English Bone China Cup and Saucer Trio sets
in 1998 on our 2nd trip to England.   I found my first set in the bargain basement of
an antique shop in Chipping Campden.  Actually, I found three matching sets.
Three of something makes a collection, right?
On several trips back to England, I purchased vintage and new teacup trios
 at various places.
I recently found this Royal Adderley set on Ebay at a bargain price.
It is back-stamped Canadian Provincial Flowers Purple Violet
Royal Adderley Fine Bone China Made in England.

The last time I posted photos of an English teacup and saucer trio,
Phyllis asked if I know how many trio sets I have.
I don't know the answer.  I started counting them,
and decided I might be better off not knowing!
But, I could set several dining room tables with trios.

When it comes to the number of trio sets a tea lover owns, ignorance is bliss! ;-) Your newest addition is lovely.

This one is just beautiful. I have a special fondness for violets so it really appeals to me.

Cute! Trios are nice. I bought two trios a few months ago, both were with gilded details, very pretty. But then I found an amazing china bargain in a charity shop for an entire set so I gave my trios away to a friend who might enjoy them :)

Have you ever set a table with many trios for guests? I wonder how the mixing and matching would look!

Love the purple!

What a delightful pattern of violets! I agree, though, you might be better off not counting your trios!

Your violet teacup is really pretty! I like trios, because I enjoy mix-and-match tables for tea parties. I think it's fun when every person's setting is unique. When I really want everything to match, then I use my wedding china. (I have a set of 12 in that.)
I'd love to see a picture of the inside of your china cabinet!
