Tea at Fortnum and Mason

 I finally ordered the book Tea at Fortnum and Mason,
published in 2010.  I don't know why I delayed in ordering this
pretty tea book. 
Maybe I just needed a little nudge...
Phyllis and Sandy, brought me a tin of Fortnum and Mason Breakfast "stronger tea"
when they came to visit in the late spring.
The Breakfast blend is described as robust, malty and full-bodied.
According to the label: "A tippy blend of orthodox Assams selected for their leaf and liquor style.  The broken leaf gives a stonger brew, expecially persuasive in the morning when served with just a splash of milk."
It is, in my opinion and experience, a very typical strong English tea. 
And, definitely tea most English folks would drink with the addition of milk.
Just the way hubby GJ and son AJ take their tea! 
This summer has been one of no schedules, much travel, and lots of fun with the family.
School started here last week.
It was nice for me to be able to sit down again to a morning tea ritual with a cup of English tea
while looking through this little book.
Of course, the scones photo and recipe popped out at me. 
Anyone who knows me, knows I love authentic English Scones.  

Makes me want to go back to London and Fortnum and Mason
where our family enjoyed Cream Tea with these scones in 2008.
Just look at that real clotted cream!
