Touring Old Town Berea

Today (Saturday), I joined a group of ladies visiting Berea,
on a tour of Old Town Berea,
an area of working artists, shops and galleries.
We began at the Berea Welcome Center, above, in the historic
L and N Railroad Depot (above).

We began our tour at Honeysuckle Vine with Dinah Tyree, watercolor artist.

In the same shop, her sister Jimmy Lou Jackson makes beautiful beads
at her business, Hot Flash Beads.

Then on to the workshop and gallery of copper and brass artists Ken and Sally Gastineau.

Weaver's Bottom is located on the corner
with Neil Colmer, weaver, and Mary Colmer, corn shuck artist.

Neil and Mary are talented musicians, and demonstrated the "courting dulcimer."

The last artist we visited was Michelle Weston, glass blower.

After visiting these artists, the ladies walked around Old Town
for shopping before returning to Boone Tavern Hotel for lunch.
