Last week I posted about the Tea Brunch hosted in my dining room
with food contributed by friends, Patty, Mary and Lynn.
Several of you made comments about it being a good idea
to let friends contribute to the event by bringing food items.
I have hosted a Tea Brunch for my friends
three times before, the last one was in September.
I thought you might be interested to learn how last week's event came about...
Patty called and asked if I would host she, Mary, and Lynn again,
and she would bring muffins and fruit. When I contacted Mary and Lynn,
they wanted to bring a brunch dish, too.
Patty has a beautiful home with a lovely dining room,
so why did she want to have it at my house?
Because, she said she "loves to sit among my teapots and teacups."
The teapot and teacup collector that I am took that as a compliment!
Wouldn't you?
Today, I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday.

Hi Linda, I'd absolutely take that as a compliment. I think you're a good hostess, and there's much beauty surrounding you all with the teapots and teacups. I hope to have a neighborhood Valentine's Day tea in my home.
Blessings, Beth
Quite definitely, and she certainly spoke the truth! Lovely china just speaks a welcome and of relaxed companionship. Lovely!

Oh, yes, that's a compliment - and I echo it! So many pretty things to see. How nice that everyone brought treats, too. Best kind of party!
Oh yes, that was a wonderful compliment! It is very soothing to sit amongst a friend's teacups and saucers! Your "tea room" looks just beautiful!!!
I definitely think that is a compliment -- a great hostess with beautiful tea things. Happy Tea Day!
Linda, that is a lovely compliment! You have beautiful china and I am sure any one of us tea ladies would love to sit among your teapots and teacups too. Thanks for coming to tea and enjoy the rest of your week.

Oh, yes I would indeed have taken it as a compliment. And it's also a compliment they felt comfortable enough to ask you!
Indeed, Linda that's a nice thing to hear from friends. Your china collection and the way you display it is beautiful. Such a nice place for friends and fellowship.
Linda: Would love to see you link anything to my Wednesday "Friends Sharing Tea"!
