Winter finally came to Kentucky.
It by-passed us last year as we had no snow or snow days from school.
We have already missed 2 days in 2013, one for ice and one for snow.
I decided to have a cup of tea during the early afternoon on Friday, and asked
13 year-old AJ if he would like a cup, too.
He replied, "yes, oolong, please."
I had to smile at that. How many 13 year-old American boys
are going to ask for a cup of oolong tea while in the middle of a
big computer game battle with his school buddies.
The tea I made for AJ was Harney and Sons Formosa Oolong

Very nice !
Oh Linda --- I read your comment about asking for oolong when playing games with computer buddies. I was flooded with memories. My boys and their friends love tea -- and during their teen years would drink it often while playing computer games. One young man loved tea so much that one of my girlfriends finally made a rule that when he came to her house to play games with her son --- he had to bring his own tea! He was drinking up "all her good stuff". I thought that was so funny! I think I would have just stocked up a bit more on the "good stuff" so I could share. Enjoy a great day!
The kids in our area had a snow day last week too. Snow days are perfect for sipping hot tea. A.J. is such a fine young man!
At least *somebody* in the South got a snow day, because we sure haven't! I love that A.J. asked for oolong!
You have taught A.J. well in the ways of tea! My husband, kids, and grandson have no interest in tea. :-(
Hope the weather has warmed back up for you; but snow days can be a blessing of nesting - that is, as long as the cold doesn't last too long1
That indeed is worth a smile. I love that AJ is tea wise.
Fun! Am also enjoying Harney & Sons Formosa Oolong... very pleasant tea.
