Kukicha (Green Tea)

According to the Harney and Sons website:
"Kukicha, a Japanese green tea is a mixture of green stems and yellow twigs.
The liquor is very light green, as you can see in these photos.
This tea has a low level of caffeine and a mellow flavor.
Kukicha has a light vegetel flavor from the stems and woody notes from the twigs.
Brew Kukicha for 1 to 2 minutes at 160 degrees F. "

Note from Linda:
I purchased this tea for a tasting with Mary, Patty and Lynn.
All found it to be a light, delicate tasting tea,
and appreciated the low caffeine levels.

Kukicha is reported to be a favorite beverage of
Mary's favorite entertainer and Kentucky native,
Dwight Yoakam, therefore,  my reason for choosing this tea.
Mary was very pleased!

Nice review! Not a huge fan of greens, but will check this one out. I am gradually learning to like green teas.

Sorry for the intrusion, I was looking for my dear friend Linda's tea blog ... oh wait, it IS Linda's tea blog, ha! (Again, you amaze me with your tastings of green teas! And leave it to you to find a connection with Kentucky native Dwight Yoakam--how fun!)
