Japanese Homestay Exchange

The Madison County students and parents participating in the
middle school Homestay program hosted a reception for
our Sister City Delegation on Thursday evening.

This summer, ten Japanese students will come to Kentucky to
stay a week with families here.  Next year, our students will
go there to stay with the students they hosted this year.

The five girls and five boys chosen to participate are so excited!

It was a fun evening of good food, fun games and crafts and...

traditional dancing.

Austin has been anxiously awaiting this opportunity for years!
Here he is with his buddy Eiki, the tour guide, who has
traveled with the delegations for several years.

We've hosted Young Farmers from Scotland, Wales, Germany, and students from our local community college's sister city in Japan. I enjoyed having these young people stay with us in our home because it was exciting to learn about other countries in a most personal way. Enjoy the time you share with your visitors.♥♫

I love exchange student programs! A dear friend hosted a young lady from the Czech Republic and they remain dear friends to this day!
