Next Stop ~ Charleston, SC

Charleston is one of our favorite southern cities.
We love to visit the market (above).
And, stay at the historic Mills House Hotel (below)

My favorite little "nook" in the hotel is the "Tea Cozy"
Can't you just imagine having a lovely afternoon tea in
the Tea Cozy (below) just off the lobby.
During our last two visits the guys have gone on ghost tours,
this time I chose our tour which will be in the next post.
In the meantime, however, we found many fun and several elegant restaurants.
Below are just a few of the homes along the Battery overlooking the water.

What a WONDERFUL summer you've been having! Wish you could have packed me in your suitcase! ;-) I've only been to Charleston for a day, and would love to return to spend more time. Have fun, and I'll look forward to being there vicariously through your blog posts!

A Charleston visit is on my Bucket List - which, slowly but surely (and by the Grace of our Lord,) I hope to fulfill!

Your travel posts sure have me excited - for you AND me for hoping to get there one day!

Thanks for sharing!

Love-love-love Charleston ... and in fact I need to go back soon! One of my favorite finds from the market there is a sweetgrass basket that's a cup and saucer!
