Fall Break in New York City

Berea Community High School has been on fall break for a week.
Most readers of this blog know our family has traveled to the
mountains of western North Carolina
during fall breaks the last three years for quiet time at the Cataloochee Guest Ranch.
This year we planned a very different fall break in New York City,
shopping, sightseeing, shows, and afternoon tea.
We arrived Wednesday afternoon, and stayed four nights at the
conveniently located Marriott Marquis on Times Square.
Wednesday's fun activities will be posted later.
Thursday morning began with a walk to Rockefeller Center and
observing the Kathy Lee and Hoda portion of the Today Show.
Next, we took a tour of the NBC studios.
We were unable to see the Saturday Night Live studio because
Miley Cyrus was rehearsing.

On to the Lego Store, Saks Fifth Avenue, St.Patrick's Cathedral and afternoon tea.
~~
When planning this trip, 14-year old, Austin requested we have afternoon tea
at The Ritz Carlton on Central Park South.
We enjoyed tea there in July, 2007 when he was 8-years-old.

Afternoon tea at the Ritz in the next post.
