December Afternoon Tea at Boone Tavern Hotel

Christmas Afternoon Tea at Boone Tavern Hotel
on Saturday, December 14, was fun for everyone.
Thank you to Gary, the General Manager, for
allowing me to help with this
lovely tea experience in Berea, KY.
~~
To my tea friends and blog followers:
I was so busy in the kitchen making tea,
and then in the dining room greeting guests,
that I only took a few photos.

I hope this is the start of a tea tradition at your historic Boone Tavern, Linda. Your tiered servers and the food look so festive and inviting. Wish I could have been a guest!

I know it was a splendid event---your cheery presence must have multiplied the charm and merriment sevenfold.

I Google-mapped the hotel, for Chris goes often to Mt. Sterling for work, and I thought I'd see the distances, and so forth, and it was the strangest thing. Main St. of Berea seems to divide the seasons---on the left, it's all green and lush and bright, and on the Right of Main, the trees are bare, the ground is brown and even the focus is a bit wavery.

They must have had a paste-up of the pictures and spliced Summer and Winter---just a little funny thing I noticed with my third cup, before I get to making these dainty little sandwiches and trays for our tea today.

Manymany happy thoughts of the season,

rachel

So glad everything went well. Like Angela, wished I could have been there with you
to add to our tea memories.
