Shopping for Treasures and Taking Time for Tea

Nancy Reppert is the owner of Sweet Remembrances Tea Room
in Mechanicsburg, PA.  We are members of the Afternoon Tea Across America online
tea discussion group, and met in 2007 when we were roommates on the Tea in London Tour.
~~
Last year when Glenn attended a conference in Hershey, PA,
Austin, Glenn and I visited with Nancy and her niece, Angelica, at Hershey Park,
then enjoyed  a lovely afternoon tea the next day at Sweet Remembrances.
We were all pleased to hear we were going back to Hershey so we could visit again.
Nancy dropped off Angelica to go to the park with the guys, and
she and I spent the day on Sunday antiques and treasures shopping.
~~
At our first stop, Antique Market Place of Lemoyne, PA,
I couldn't resist taking the photo below.
Don't you just love the way the vintage brooches are displayed?
Nancy and I found so many fun tea time treasures during the day.
Although we didn't purchase the vintage salt and pepper set below,
we both managed to purchase our fair share of tea things.
Between antique malls, we drove to Sugar Plums and Tea in Lancaster
for lunch and tea.  I'm so glad Nancy knew they were open on Sunday.
We were seated in the pretty Garden Room , below.

We chose our teas from the nice selection of loose leaf teas on the menu below.
I had a nice pot of English Breakfast Tea.
We visited and talked non-stop.
My lunch, below, was a delicious chicken salad plate
with gluten free bread.

After lunch, we visited Crossroads Antique Mall in Hershey.
Yes!  We found a few Tea Treasures at both antique malls!
I don't collect Candlewick pattern, but I just couldn't resist these pieces.
I thought these cordials would be perfect to serve Clotted Cream and Jam.
Later in the day, I found eight smaller cordials.
I don't know what pattern these are, but they cleaned up nicely.
I found two small English Bone China cream and open sugar sets.
This pretty rose pattern is a Queen Anne.

This set is a vintage Ansley.
It was a very successful and fun day.
Never once did I tell Nancy she should not buy, nor did she tell me.

Another treasure in the next post...
