Camellia Sinensis - The Tea Plant

I ordered Camellia sinensis  plants, the tea plant, last spring.
Because our family had travel plans for most of the summer,
I asked my gardening friend Patty to take them to her house
and care for them.  You can see from the photos above and below
how they have thrived and grown under her care.
Thanks Patty!

You can see the snow in the photo below.
We had ice, snow and no school again yesterday,
with more ice forecast today.

Tea is made from the leaves and leaf buds of the Camellia sinensis.
Multiple cups of tea have been consumed
at our Kentucky Home this winter!

Raising you own tea!!! What won't you do next? I love looking in on all your adventures and entertaining, and wish you well in this coming stormy weather.

PS all the meeting schedule sounds wonderful, and I'm still consulting with everybody we're supposed to visit, to see if we can be there for one day or another.

How nice to have a friend take care of them for you. They do look like they are thriving.
