Afternoon Tea at The Plaza, NYC

Afternoon Tea in the Palm Court of The Plaza Hotel
is a must for our family when we visit NYC.
The Plaza underwent a major renovation and changes
a few years ago. Afternoon tea was discontinued during that time.
We were pleased when they reopened the hotel including their
elegant daily afternoon tea service.
Above Kaitlyn, our granddaughter, just inside the entrance of the
hotel in the area which was the lobby when we stayed at
the hotel in the a1980s and '90s.
Afternoon Tea is served in the elegant Palm Court.

The menu offers a selection of thirteen premium loose leaf teas.
Glenn chose the Willow Stream Decaffeinated Tea
Austin chose the Madame Butterfly Jasmine Green Tea
Kaitlyn and I drank the Afternoon Blend
There were four afternoon tea selections on the menu.
Austin and Glenn chose The New Yorker Afternoon Tea.
They were served on the same three-tiered server.
Sandwiches and Savories
Lobster Roll, Horesradish Vinaigrette, Garlic Aioli
Cucumber Canape', Pickled Red Onion Cream Cheese
Lox and Bagel, Schmear of Smoked Salmon and Scallion Mousse
Roasted Chicken salad, Date-Yogurt Dressing
Pressed Pastrami on Rye, Swiss and Reuben Dressing
(middle tier)
Freshly Baked, Warm Seasonal Scones,
served with Double Devonshire Cream, Lemon Curd, Preserves

Isn't the Plaza where the NYC cop and waitress stayed in that movie (the one where the cop split the winning ticket with the waitress?) Sorry - I just couldn't help remembering! This is so beautiful - I can only dream about it! So glad for this time you are spending as a family.
