visited Greentree Tea Room in downtown Lexington, KY
on Wednesday, March 19th.
The photo above was taken by Rob, Greentree's amazing server.
The menu at Greentree Tea Room changes monthly.
The March menu was an Irish theme in
food and decor.
The first course was a delicious Potato Leek Soup.
Linda and Nancy below enjoying the Irish Blend Tea.
Our teacups were kept filled with excellent hot tea.
Irish Oat Scone with Blackberry Jam and Fayette Cream.
Fayette Cream is a mock Devonshire cream, named for Fayette County
where Lexington is located.
I forgot to take a photo of the Spanakopita.
Angela has a beautiful photo on her blog.
The last two courses of tea sandwiches and mini desserts are served buffet-style.

Corned Beef, Poppy Seed Egg Salad and Benedictine Tea Sandwiches
Bailey's Fudge, Pistachio Cupcake, and Greentree French Filled Wafers

My delicious gluten free foods below.
Thank you to Victoria at Greentree Tea Room for making gluten free foods!

While my daughter lived in Lexington we never seemed to find time to search out tea rooms while visiting. If I ever go back I will surely look up this very special place.

How wonderful! The food looks so good. It is a special tearoom that will make adjustments for gluten free guests.
