A Very Special Gluten Free Afternoon Tea

Melissa enjoyed this beautiful gluten free afternoon tea at
The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead (Atlanta).
By the way - this blog post is a continuation of my post from last week.
The tables were set when the 550 guests entered the room.
The GF guest's "regular" plates were removed and replaced with gluten free plates.
The afternoon tea was served banquet-style
(see bottom photo)
Melissa's GF scone was brought on a separate plate,
while the other guest's scones were passed in baskets.
I have been to many hotel afternoon teas and this is
the first time I have seen individual jars of
"real" clotted cream and lemon curd served.
OK, Traveling Tea Friends,
GF Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead is officially
on my Bucket List!

A BIG "thank you" to Melissa for taking the photos
on her iPhone and texting them with her narration of the event.
It was definitely the next best thing to being there!

They made the gluten-free plates very special, as they should! If you get to Atlanta to have tea at the Ritz-Carlton, I'd love to meet you there, I'm about 2 hours away. And it is on my "want to do" list, too!

Wow, what a fabulous presentation! I was at the Buckhead R-C for a conference a few years back but had no time for tea. If you go there for afternoon tea, I want to be sitting right next to you ... and Joy too! (And get Melissa to come back with you -- she's a lot of fun!)
