Visiting Graceland and Remembering Elvis

A visit to Graceland is a must when visiting Memphis.
This was the 2nd visit for Austin and me, and Glenn's 4th visit.
Are we major Elvis fans?  Not really. But, the
place is frozen in time and has a magical air.

Elvis died August 16, 1977.
The one and only time Glenn and I saw him in concert
was in Cincinnati on June 25, 1977.
His last ever concert was the next night in Indianapolis.
Perhaps the reason we are attracted to Graceland when in Memphis?

We were allowed to take photos of the interior of the house,
but I'm not posting any.  You can search the internet for photos if you wish.
Elvis purchased Graceland when he was only 22 years old.
The guys really enjoyed the cars, motorcycles, and the Lisa Marie, private jet.
It was interesting to see several exhibits which are new since we were last there.
Did you know the Heartbreak Hotel is adjacent to the grounds of Graceland?
It is new since our last visit.

FYI to my readers and followers:
My blog posts will be sporadic this summer
while we are out and about.

I never saw Elvis in concert except on TV. Graceland must be wonderful to tour. One hears so many stories about the place. So glad you got to see it and thanks for sharing with us. Have a lovely day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Graceland is a must if you visit Memphis ... and seeing those furnishings is just like stepping back into the seventies!
