Maui - The Road to Hana

We arrived in Maui on Sunday morning, June 22.
Our tour in an 8 passenger "luxury" van driven by our guide, Gary,
traveled the Road to Hana on the east coast of the island.
This scenic 58-mile highway from Kahului to Hana is a winding,
narrow road with 620 curves and 46 one-lane bridges through
miles of tropical rain forest with beautiful waterfalls and beaches.
It takes 2.5 hours to drive with no stops, but Gary
stopped numerous times to explain the amazing scenery and for many photos ops,
way too many to post them all here.

Gary set out a delicious picnic lunch before
our return trip of 620 curves and over 46 one-lane bridges
to arrive back at the port at 4:00 p.m.
