Ukuleles in Hawaii

Some of you know Austin loves to play the Ukulele.
He was in "hog heaven" or should I say "Uke Heaven" in Hawaii.
There were ukulele shops everywhere
and people were buying them like crazy!
While strolling along Waikiki Beach, Austin and Glenn
spied this travel ukulele.  It is thinner than the normal uke.
The salesman threw in a case and away they went.
Yep, he played on the beach and on the deck and our balcony of the ship.
Austin bought a CD by Israel Kamokawiwo'ole,
the well-known ukulele artist,
and taught himself how to play Over the Rainbow by listening to it.

Austin taught the bus driver below how to play Over the Rainbow.
What fun!
Another dream come true for Austin,
playing the ukulele in Hawaii.

Oh I would have loved hearing him play Over the Rainbow. That became my theme song for our trip to Hawaii.

Oh, how fun! I dearly love that Hawaiian "Over the Rainbow" song, and yes, I remember Marilyn writing about that on her trip. Maybe I can get to hear Austin play it one day!
