Thyme on Broadway in Irvine, Kentucky

Mary, Lynn, and I drove to the small town of  Irvine, KY
population approximately 3000,
where Lynn was born and raised.
We took a driving tour of the town while she pointed out the
schools she attended and
the houses where she and her family lived.
The purpose of the trip was to meet her dear cousin for lunch
at the Thyme on Broadway Café.
I fell in love with this quaint café at first sight!
The menu includes a large variety of soups, salads,
sandwiches, starters, daily specials, and flavored coffees
and teas.
This delightful vintage advertisement for Coca-Cola
was uncovered on an interior brick wall
during the remodeling of the building which
had served as several businesses over the years.
What a fun day with friends!
I look forward to returning to Thyme on Broadway
at 131 Broadway Street
in Irvine, Kentucky
to have lunch again soon.
The homemade chicken salad was delicious!

My friend Belle and I have an ongoing search
for the best chicken salad ever.
I called her when I returned home and told
her she has to go with me to try this one!
By the way, the fun thing about the search for the
best chicken salad ever, is the search is never ending.

I do like your philosophy on the never-ending search for the perfect chicken salad. I will help with that research any time! What a nice place for lunch. LOVE the Coca-cola sign.

I love that you are on the search for the best chicken salad. Much healthier than my search for the best French macaron. This does look like a fun place to have lunch and I just looooove the Coke ad.
