Spring Break 2015 -Mt. Pilatus, Luzern

Mt. Pilatus is one of the most legendary and scenic places in central Switzerland.
The Roman governor Pontius Pilatus might have been buried in the Pilatus Lake.
At 7,000 feet, the summit offers an amazing view of the alps.
We traveled up the mountain from Lucerne via bus , then a four-person gondola lift,
and then an areial cable car (below)

There are two hotels at the top, one on each end of the
visitor center.  I can not imagine how the supplies for
these buildings were brought up the mountain.

I opted to stay inside the visitor center rather than hiking on
through the caves to the top.

What fabulous memories!

Wow. This is beautiful!
I found your blog just a little while ago.
I am going to be in Switzerland for the first time a year from now so this is really fun to see!
