Adare Village

Our trip to Ireland was only for one week during Austin's
fall break from Berea Community High School.
I shortened my original itinerary to a practical driving tour.
After hours and hours of research, I decided to concentrate on the southwestern
part of Ireland and the counties of Limerick, Kerry and Clare
~
thatched room cottages and green space.  The village has "an array
of medieval buildings, including three monasteries, two in use, and one in ruin."
The Heritage Centre is in the middle of the village and offers guided tours
of the 15th century Desmond Castle.
It is also the home to Adare Manor, ancestral home to the Earls of Dunraven,
and is now a luxury hotel and golf resort.

What a perfectly charming place! And to stay in one spot for four days---what a nice window for a walking/driving tour on your own time and pace.

Your handsome guys look so well-suited to the place, I'm surprised that tourists weren't asking them for directions!

Thank you for the invitation to another of your lovely adventures!

That little cottage is so cute! Everything is so lush and green. Sounds like you did your homework and knew just where you wanted to go! Wonderful.
