Miss Crumpet's Tea Room in Adare

Afternoon tea at Miss Crumpet's Tea Room located in
Adare's Old Creamery was delightful on our last day in Adare, Ireland.
Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance for a full afternoon tea.

Austin and I enjoyed a gluten free full Irish Afternoon Tea.
Portions were large and delicious.
Glenn's tea tray is below.
I was so ready for this gluten free experience.

The sliced strawberries were on cream in meringue shells,
a great idea to serve with gluten free tea at home.

The tea room is located upstairs in one of the most unique gift shops I've visited.

Although afternoon tea must be arranged in advance,
anyone can come in for delicious homemade desserts and tea.

Aynsley Cherry Blossom tea set for sale.
Price: 95 Euros = $107.24

Below, Miss Crumpet welcomes guests on arrival
The shops included a fudge shop, a "haunted house" and a Christmas shop.

It's been lovely to read about your Ireland adventures. And what a fun tea room to enjoy on your last day. I don't remember ever seeing scones split vertically when served before...interesting.
Thanks for sharing, Linda.

Oh, what a delight, Linda!

I spent 3 glorious weeks touring Ireland with my father and 2 brothers and 2 sisters....and there was NO WAY they'd do tea. Not with pubs of pints and live music to be discovered, haha.

I am glad your family doesn't feel exactly the same, haha. (In truth we were with a huge tour bus so it wasn't really our choice to go off on our own too often.)

Of all the adventures you've arranged for us, I think this is THE ONE---from the starched napery to the lovely array of scrumptious not-so-dainties---what generous servings! to the atmosphere to the charming Crone at the door.

That's definitely my kind of place---we'd have a "standing reservation" to be there at least once a week. And Little Pavlovas! The perfect gluten-free dessert, any time. (Ours usually have a topping of plain old Eagle Brand Lemon Icebox Pie filling over the cream). It's a delicate, tangy, sumptuous confection---do try it, maybe in Spring.
