Limoges - A Beautiful Gift

Melissa and Tim's friend Paul, who has visited us many times over
the last 20+ years, brought me a gift of this lovely Limoges Tea Set.
He purchased this at an auction.  He and I are trying to research details
of when, where, what and how.
All you antique collectors know the research I mean.

The tiny plate is back-stamped Limoges, Made in France.
The teapot, sugar and creamer have the numbers G945 on the bottom of each.

By the way, I have not washed the bottom of the tiny plate.
I have not found the back-stamp in my research.
Is it authentic?
How was the tiny plate (tray) used?
So many unanswered questions...

Thank you Paul for this beautiful gift.

Well the tiny plate can now certainly be used to hold a teabag! Or adorable decorative sugar cubes or a couple petite fours!

What a lovely set- how truly thoughtful of your friends to bring you such a beautiful gift!
(Not a more deserving and appreciative recipient, either, I dare say!) : - )
