Did you know the prickly purple Thistle is the Emblem of Scotland?
I was amazed to see tall Thistles in Scottish gardens during our first visit in 1995.
The reason is the thistle is a pesky plant in Kentucky, and it hurts if you touch or step on one.
We have too many of them in our fields at the farm, according to my husband.
But, I must admit, I have looked at the Thistle differently since our visits to Scotland.
Therefore, when I found this English Crown Trent Thistle Teapot at a bargain price,
I added it to my teapot collection.
It would be perfect at the farm house. Don't you agree?
