Boone Tavern Lunch and Tea

Austin had been craving Historic Boone Tavern Hotel's
famous Southern Spoonbread all weekend.  Since there was no school today,
he suggested we go to lunch so he could have spoonbread.
To his surprise, I said "yes" to lunch for the two of us.
His photo above shows our tea on a cold day.  My tea is Boone Tavern Blend,
and his choice was Darjeeling.

A new lunch menu indicates the gluten free options.

I had the Stuffed Portobello Mushroom, but forgot to take a photo.
It was a nice lunch on a very cold day.

Furthermore, Austin drove us to lunch in his
favorite Christmas gift.
He is very generous about offering to run errands these days!

I remember Austin's fondness for Boone Tavern's spoon bread. How nice that you could have lunch together. And I'd say Santa was very good to Austin this Christmas! ;-)
