Joining a Special Tea Party

I enjoy receiving surprise gifts in the mail, don't you?
Earlier this week, I received a "tea party in a box" from
Martha in California who is the current hostess of
The Traveling Teapot II for the Afternoon Tea Across America
Yahoo and Facebook groups.
The current teapot is a Tardis from the popular Dr. Who TV series.
You can see its travels at The Traveling Teapot II Blog

My photography is a little dark because the background
is the bright white snowfall we are having in Kentucky today.
Martha thoroughly researched the perfect Dr. Who foods for this tea party.
The top photo above: the invitation to the party on the left
Tardis Green Tea by Adagio Teas in my bone china mug brought from my first
trip to England in 1995, the tea tin and cookie.
Three Jelly Baby candies were also included.
At Martha's suggestion I replaced the cookie with gluten free cookies.
Martha, thanks for including me in this special tea party.
I have never watched Dr. Who, but I certainly enjoy tea parties!
Just glad I could party inside.

We just finished our after school Afternoon Tea Party... on to prepare dinner, and then hopefully a chance to blog and share photos. Such a fun idea!

Oh, what fun!

My big brother is a big time Dr. Who fan - I know little about it myself.

A travelling tea party in a box, what a splendid idea!

Happy sippin! Have a wonderful weekend.

Must confess I've never watched Dr. Who and don't know what a Tardis is. Must investigate! (I see Dr. Who mentioned a lot and always feel left out!)
