Birthday Celebration and Tea Book

My birthday was Friday, but I've been celebrating for several days.
The bouquet of flowers is from Austin and Glenn.
Daughter Melissa and I met for lunch in Lexington
at a favorite restaurant with a little shopping after lunch.
Among several gifts I received, Melissa gave me this new book
Afternoon Tea at Home by Will Torrent, a consultant
pastry chef to Waitrose, a large supermarket chain in England.
In addition he is an author, appeared in several BBC TV shows,
and worked at Claridges, The Dorchester and The Lanesborough.

This beautiful book includes recipes in both "English" and "American."
This includes measurements and ingredients.

The photography makes me want to have English Afternoon Tea in England again soon.

I appreciate the birthday cards and good wishes from friends.
I'm celebrating throughout the month of March.
~~
Yes, I am partial to Shamrock designs on china
because I was born in March!

Happy, happy birthday, Linda! Have a great cup of tea and a GF goodie - you deserve it.
Thank you for your kindness in educating me on GF eating - I am succeeding and I feel SO much better now.
Hugs, Beth

Got so behind on my favorite blogs that I missed saying Happy Birthday, but I can tell it was a good one! Now I'm debating whether I, too, need a copy of this book you got. It looks wonderful!
