Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
My June tea table is set with a variety of floral vintage English China trios,
vintage pink napkins and my Royal Albert Lavender Rose teapot,
cream and sugar in the center of the table. The teapot sits
on a Depression Glass tea trivet, a gift from a friend.
The first trio is a floral Crown Staffordshire
The next trio is Hammersley.
I hope you can double-click and see the oak leaves and acorn on
the back of this Hammersley.
The third trio is Minton Marlow.
There are a variety of these dishes on eBay right now.
I wish I had the display/storage space and could justly
the purchase price of an entire set.
But, the answer is "no" to both.
And the last trio is Winsome by Royal Albert.
I enjoy mixing similar colors of floral patterns on the tea table.

Boone Tavern Hotel hosted Afternoon Tea on Saturday, June 4th.
Double click on the menu above to read it.
The tables were set with a vintage floral china which was used in the
hotel dining room in the 1990's.
Alexa's family, including her mother, sister and grandmother, and
our almost 91 year-old neighbor, Mrs. H
were the honored guests at Glenn's table for eight.
Glenn snapped a few photos of the guests.
Lee, Tiffany and Lizzie above.
I'm explaining a menu item to Mrs. H, below.
The teas included a delicious selection of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas,
Boone Tavern Blend
English Breakfast Decaffeinated
Lavender Earl Grey
Wild Strawberry Green Tea
Glenn's photo above shows a better view of the beautiful table.
The few photos I was able to take were the menu items.
I will post those soon.
My desktop went into the shop on Friday morning.
It must be trashed and replaced.
For now I'm working on tiny tiny touchscreen laptop
I received for my 65th birthday in March.
Believe me, it is difficult for this old tea lady to learn Windows 10
on this tiny laptop.
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
