Tea Time - "Sipping Tea in Kentucky"

It is always a pleasure to find an article about my home state
in one of my favorite magazines.
"Sipping Tea In The Bluegrass State" is featured in the fall issue of
Tea Time Magazine.
And, let me be the first to tell you, fall is a fantastic time of the year to visit
our beautiful state of Kentucky,
Among the tea rooms featured in the article is
Greentree Tearoom in historic downtown Lexington,
known for their luncheon teas. It is a favorite, and I have
frequently blogged  about my visits with friends for
birthday and other celebrations.
Bruce, Shelley, and Ben Richardson at Elmwood Inn Fine Teas
in Danville are longtime tea friends.  My first-ever afternoon tea was at
their tea room in Perryville, KY in February, 1993.
I have watched Ben grow up surrounded by tea.
Melissa (#1 daughter) and I attended TEA 101 in April 2001.
Our family celebrated Glenn's birthday several years ago
at Sisters Tea Parlour and Boutique, located near Louisville.
At the time, I blogged about that fun experience.
Austin and Kaitlyn enjoyed the décor and the menu.
I haven't visited the Louisville Tea Company, yet.
Actually, there are a number of similar tea shops
in various locations in Kentucky.  Perhaps, I'll have
an opportunity to visit this one soon.
2 Sisters Tea Room in Vine Grove is on my
list to visit.  It is located 2 1/2 hours from me in
a location I rarely visit.  I will call to ask if
a gluten free menu is available.  Sounds like a good
road trip for October.
Three of the colleges and universities Austin
has visited are near several of the tea rooms featured
in the article.
We'll see if he chooses to attend a school near a Kentucky tea room.

As I read my issue, I thought how lucky you are, having so many tea rooms so close! The beautiful pictures makes me want to visit. Cheers!

Oh I hope Austin does choose a school near a special Kentucky tearoom.
