The Historic Brown Hotel in Louisville, KY

Last Monday, during Austin's Fall Break Week,
we stayed overnight at The Brown Hotel,
a Louisville landmark since 1923,
"It is a blend of Old World elegance and modern day comfort."
It's our favorite downtown Louisville hotel.

We had dinner reservations in The English Grill

The chef's amuse-bouche, a bite of salmon salad
I ordered the Eggplant Canneloni appetizer
I shared the Tableside Caesar Salad with Austin

My entree was the amazing Cocoa Crusted Pork Chop with
Blueberry Coffee Sauce and Apple Butter. Oh my!

After dinner, we ordered the Red Grape and Mixed Berry Sorbets for dessert.
Tuesday morning breakfast was served in J. Graham's Cafe.
Austin had the Famous Kentucky Hot Brown, special-made for him
with brown Gluten Free Bread.
Below:  The Country Ham Breakfast with Cheese Grits and brown Gluten Free Bread.
Austin spent the day visiting Bellarmine University
while Glenn and I shopped and went to Annie May's Sweet Cafe,
the only dedicated Gluten Free bakery and cafe in Louisville.

Traveling is fun when you stay at wonderful hotels like the Brown Hotel. You hit the ground running following the MI Tea Tour and haven't stopped since.
