A Tea Cozy Weekend

Many pots of Harney and Son Queen Catherine tea
and multiple cups of hot chocolate have been consumed
in our cozy home during the Winter Storm of 2016.
We ended up with 14 inches of snow falling on Friday and Saturday.
That was on top of the 3 inches from Wednesday.
I realize that's not a lot compared to my friends in the north east,
but for southern Kentucky, that was a record breaker.
School was cancelled in our little town Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
We are waiting to hear about Monday. (Update: No School Monday)
Sadly, thousands of people were stranded on I-75 for up to 16 hours
due to wrecks caused by the ice that arrived before the snow.
Our church became a Red Cross shelter on Saturday.
Because many curvy roads in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky
never see the sun, it could be weeks before the Eastern Kentucky
rural county school buses can travel.

I am thankful my family is safe and warm.

Tea Cozy and mug were purchased on one of our trips to the Cotswolds in England.
