Irish Afternoon Tea

I enjoyed a delicious gluten free oatmeal ginger cookie from the
Berea College Farm Store Friday afternoon along with
a cup of Irish Weave Irish Afternoon Tea I carried back from Ireland.
From the pretty tea tin:
"Afternoon Tea was first taken in the 18th century, between 4 and 6 o'clock,
by the Irish upper classes.
It would have been accompanied by sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream.
Irish Afternoon tea, which is brisk and refreshing comes from the
finest tea estates in Kenya.
The attractive tea canister in our very popular Irish Weave design
can be kept as a souvenir and can be re-used as a caddy into the future."
Of course I purchased this tea for the pretty tin and as a souvenir, not the quality of the tea.
But it does look nice served in my Royal Albert Shamrock teacup trio.
