Adagio Teas White Darjeeling

Because I enjoy White Tea and Darjeeling Tea, I chose
White Darjeeling as my third tea from Adagio Teas.

"White tea from the Darjeeling region of India. A rare treat from the Rohini estate, nestled along the picturesque slopes of the Himalayas. Similar in appearance to the White Peony tea of China, the Darjeeling version is equally sublime. This early spring tea offers young leaves and delicate unopened buds. Dry leaf aroma is crisp with hints of fruit and floral. The cup offers hypnotic honeysuckle and apricot blossom notes."
Steeping: 1 teaspoon per cup for 3 to 5 minutes at 195 degrees F

Darjeeling is a town situated along the slopes of the beautiful, towering Himalayas. The town, and the tea plantations that stretch around it, are often enveloped in mist. This unique climate, along with the region's loamy soil, help produce one of the most unique and distinctive teas in the world. These altitudes place significant strain on the bushes, so they grow more slowly and have more time to develop flavor. No one else in the world has tea that tastes quite like authentic Darjeeling.

this tea contains a low level of caffeine
The above cup was brewed three minutes.

The cup below was brewed for five minutes.

The Adagio Teas White Darjeeling has more character than some white teas,
but is milder and more smooth than a black Darjeeling.
I enjoyed this tea very much, and would gladly purchase it from Adagio Teas.
This is a great tea for  an afternoon tea, as it is lighter in caffeine than black teas.
P.S.
My husband went by Gluten Free Miracles in Lexington, a dedicated GF bakery,
and brought home a dozen homemade GF biscuits.
I very much enjoyed several cups of this White Darjeeling with a warm
biscuit slathered with butter and orange marmalade.
Yum!  Delicious combination!

I tried a white Darjeeling once at a tea room and enjoyed it greatly. I may need to order some of this for mid-afternoon tea breaks. :-) I'm glad to read your nice review, it does sound delicious.

I do love Darjeeling teas. Not a huge fan of white teas, but maybe this would be a good combination of flavors. Sounds good.
