To Northern Ireland

On Monday morning, June 11, the tour group gathered for the first time
at the Clayton Hotel in Ballsbridge
with Susan Byron
We began traveling north and the first stop was Trim Castle in County Meath,
the "largest and most impressive" Norman Castle in Ireland,
where the movie Braveheart was filmed.

Our lunch stop was at Slane Castle below.
Continuing after lunch, we visited Newgrange,
which predates the Pyramids of Giza by 2000 years.

A stop at Monasterboice a small, quiet monastic site with two of the
largest and most detailed high crosses in Ireland.

Could this headstone be family?

Monday night was in Belfast at the Europa Hotel located in the City Centre.
Every hotel in the U.K. and Ireland has an electric teapot.
Susan invited those who wanted to participate to
The Crowne Liquor Saloon after dinner. I didn't go, but
Austin took the photo below for me.
I thought you might be interested in following along
on our route around beautiful Ireland.

GREAT photos!

Seeing the name Braveheart just makes me want to roar, "Freeeeeedom!"

By the way, great minds think alike...You are Friendship Tea. I am Dandelion Tea.

Nice to meet you!
