G Hotel Afternoon Tea

Our friend and Berea College graduate, Rachel, met us at the G Hotel Galway
for a lovely afternoon tea.  Rachel is in graduate school in Ireland.
The G Hotel opened in 2005 and is known for its unique architecture and quirky decor,
designed by Phillip Treacy, the famous hat designer to the royals and the wealthy.

The tea foods were served on two-tier servers and a dessert plate.
It was beautiful and delicious!

Gluten free afternoon tea for Austin and me is below.

We were seated in the "Pink Room"
Notice the design of the two-tier server below.

And, the menu with the hat on the front.

We thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon tea, named as one of the "best afternoon
teas in Ireland."  What a great way to spend a rainy afternoon in Galway!
