Dressing The Queen, a Book

With all the publicity about the styles and fashions of
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, I became curious about
who dresses The Queen.
in my opinion, The Queen is elegantly dressed for every occasion.
I am so pleased I found the book "Dressing The Queen" on Amazon.
This book is written by Angela Kelly, a member of the Royal Household since 1994,
and currently Personal Advisor and Senior Dresser to Her Majesty The Queen.
The photos and text give an amazing insight into The Queen's wardrobe,
including hats, jewelry and accessories.
This book was written after the 2012 Diamond Jubilee.
Imagine all the different outfits that had to be planned for multiple daily
events during that special anniversary year!
The Queen wears striking colors to make her stand out in a crowd.
After all, the crowds of people travel from far and wide to come to see her.

Angela Kelly, below, designs the clothes and hats.
Three dressmakers and a milliner help to cover more than three hundred
engagements a year through different seasons, occasions and cultures.
Everyone remembers when The Queen visited with Mr. Bond
at the 2012 Olympics.
In the introduction of the book, Ms Kelly says,
"Go and put the kettle on,
Make yourself a cup of tea,
Sit down, relax,
And enjoy the book."

That is exactly what I plan to do as I enjoy this lovely
coffee table book.
