Murchie's Tea

After returning to the hotel, we walked around the waterfront and downtown Victoria,
I wandered into a book store and purchased a book to read during the rest of the trip,
while Glenn and Austin were browsing in a nearby store.
Then I made my way to Murchie's Tea and Coffee Shop.
I had heard of this shop for years from tea friends across the USA.
The guys soon joined me for a little shopping

My purchase from Murchie's is the
1894 Select Orange Pekoe
"A unique blend of Assam and Ceylon teas carefully selected
to produce a rich flavorful cup"
According to the back of the tin,
"it is one of the Murchie's original blends, named after the year of founding"
After walking we went to wonderful dinner at The Keg Steakhouse,
but forgot to take photos.

It would be hard to pick just one from that selection of teas! The "tasting" ones sounded very nice and summery, too. But your choice sounds delicious.

I love tea shops but always have a hard time deciding what to get :) That blend sounds amazing!

I order from Murchies all the time. They were the supplier to the Empress Hotel for years, until the hotel out sourced to someone else. You can still get the tea that was served, The Afternoon Blend. Did you happen to have tea at The White Heather? I so hope they are still in business!

I have such fond memories of being in Vancouver and finding Murchie's. Thank you for reminding me of those!
